We are McCormick Emergency Services. We provide Emergency Medical Services,
Fire Support, and Emergency Management. We run five ambulances and one fire
truck, Engine 122, as fire support for the seven volunteer fire departments
in the county. We protect a county of nearly 10,000 people. (2000 census)
McCormick County Emergency Services relies on a dedicated staff composed of a mixture of Full-Time, Part-Time, and Volunteers. Our staff runs over 2,000 EMS calls per year. Our staff is also cross-trained as a minimum of OSHA 1152 level Interior Fire Fighter, as well as the knowledgeable use of rescue equipment such as the "Jaws of Life."
